[News HK] Charlene and Ronald's divorce hearing

The court hearing for Charlene Choi and Ronald Cheng's divorce began yesterday in the Hong Kong Family Court. According to a laywer, only cases where there is a dispute over custody of children or the seperation of financial holdings make it to the Family Court. Hence, it has been suggested that there may be a dispute over the separation of their fortune.

In March 2010, it was revealed that Charlene and Ronald had secretly eloped to Las Vegas and was married in 2006. They then held a press conference in which they confessed they were in fact married but were actually undertaking procedures to get a divorce. According to sources, it was Charlene who suggested the divorce and moved out of their home. Charlene was later seen dating William Chan, a junior also from EEG company.

This will be a private hearing, which will be closed from the public. It was also reported that Charlene would not personally make an appearance in court as she is busy working in China, her side will be handled by her lawyer.

[News KOR] Kim Seong-min jailed

Korean actor Kim Seong-min , 38 was sentenced to two and a half years in prison for importing and using Cannabis. It's been said that he'd been importing the drug since 2008 from the Phillipines.

The sentence was handed down by the Seoul Central District Court on 24th January. He was also fined about 900,000 won (~900AUD).

The actor was arrested in December last year. Prosecuters wanted a 4 year sentence but Kim told the court he was deeply sorry and regretted his action. He also stated that he took the drugs due to depression over personal and financial problems.

Kim Seong-min has starred in dramas such as 'Before and after plastic surgery' and 'The Reputable Family'.
